56g softy and fish salt tank
Hello all:
I haven't posted since I joined so wanted to catch y'all up. I got back from China to a dead tank. My wife did what she could but I realize now there was no help for her. I didn't even understand what I didn't have on the old 29g that could have saved me some money and some pet's lives. Unfortunately I lost everything!
I'm back though. Got a bigger tank...after all bigger is better. Got a hydor slim skim, custom 10g sump and back up carbon/phos reactors.
I'm rebuilding and taking it slower than before. Here are some pics. As you can tell I've got some polyps (Neptune's in DFW), some mushrooms, feather dusters, clowns, blenny and lots of cleaner crew. After I make sure all is well, I will be adding lots more. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Re: 56g softy and fish salt tank
My tank gets decent indirect light through some sky lights so I'm running the "Zoo Med T-5 HO Ocean Sun" 10,000K for about 5 hours a day and then the "Coral Sun Actinic 420" about 9.5 hours a day. I also custom mounted 11 LED's in the light bar for moon light. I forgot to mention that i have cheato in my "refug" area in my sump and I am running a std issue hood and light in it, counter to my tank lights.

A great piece I got from Jason today!
Here are a couple of pics of a piece I picked up from J.Davis today. I also got an awesome piece of live rock that made me redo the layout a little. Glad I did. Thanks for all the help! The shop is looking great.

Re: 56g softy and fish salt tank
I just noticed... I have a frag of those exact zoas from jason but under my lighting (and after about a month) they switched colors a bit... Yellow eyes and skirt with the green circle... They are beautiful!
