Post by matt_longview on Thu 03 Feb 2011, 2:10 pm

Here's the link. Maybe a few of us grab some and one of us can go get them in Dallas?

Yeah. He is shipping to Dallas and we could either have one of us pick them up and bring them back to this area or we could all pay him $25 to ship a batch to this area also.

Update... he said if a location had 5 or so orders he wouldn't charge shipping. So if we get 5 or so we could have him ship to us.

Alright bigblue. You want in?

I know tony was looking for any zoas that weren't green at one point. Well make sure and see if he wants in before we order as well.

He said they won't be ready for two weeks. So I'll get money ar the meeting. If anyone wants some who won't be there make other arrangements with me. I'm going to go ahead and hold ours.

Re: Tubbs Blue Zoas for Sale Cheap on DFWMAS

Post by matt_longview on Sat 05 Feb 2011, 5:25 pm

Acro is only wanting to sell to DFW members. Here are a few quotes, some from messages on the forum post, others from messages between me and him.

My PM to him before posting on the forum.
If we get 5 orders from the longview tyler area you'll ship for free correct?

I'm on another forum and posted this and already have three people a few hours later.

My original post on the forum.
We have 5 people in the longview area east of dallas. None of them have posted here. I'm going to pay and have them get the money to me. We are good for 3 of the $15 and 2 $25 frags.

A response from Acro on the forum.
There has been interest for frags for people on other forums, I am only selling these to people on DFWMAS. You might say this is an exclusive deal here, lol.

I had PM'd him before this and made sure we could get reduced shipping if we ordered 5 or more so I messaged him this back on the forum.

Most of the people in my order are on this forum as well. We just thought it would be easier for you for us to get together and make one order instead of having to figure out that we were all from the same area and could be shipped to together.

I don't mind not receiving one myself if that's your choice. But I was trying to help some of my friends out and I don't want them to miss out on a great deal because I jumped the gun and had them go through me.

I don't want to post all of this in the sell forum though. Please PM me and let me know so I can tell the guys.

His response was a PM to me.
Matt,

This blew up larger than I ever though it could. I'll have to only sell to you. You can grow them out and sell to others in the future though. Like i said, these sell like hotcakes on the net.

Jason

I messaged back asking about other DFWMAS members who were in my group being added to the list as well. So at this point it looks like if anyone is not a DFWMAS member he won't sell, and he may only sell to me. It doesn't make much since for me to only buy a couple and pay all that shipping for just a few though. So I may buy a lot more.

Re: Tubbs Blue Zoas for Sale Cheap on DFWMAS

Post by matt_longview on Mon 07 Feb 2011, 2:55 pm

Another DFWMAS member has two tubbs blue zoas colonies for sale. I messaged him today to find out if he had any left. We would actually end up spending almost the exact same amount of money and get more polyps. We would just have to frag them up ourselves.

60+ polyps Tubbs blue zoanthids $100
90+ polyps Tubbs blue zoanthids $125

We already had $115 listed in people saying they wanted some for 45 polyps. So... you guys want to go in on these instead? I asked him about shipping. If he won't ship it's a 3 hour drive and I'll go get them.

90 polyp Tubbs is gone.

I think going for the 60 polyp colony and fragging is our only chance of everyone getting some frags soon.

Yuma messaged me and said he would rather wait for a healthy frag before paying, which I totally understand. What about everyone else? Still want in on a purchase?

Also, not willing to ship. I'll have to pick it up. I'll eat gas money because I feel like this whole deal is my fault.

Donnie is good with this deal. I'm in as well. So at this point I say we should split $20 each 5 ways if everyone goes in, $25 each if 4 go... ect.

We'll frag it into 6 10 head pieces when we get it. If all 6 make it we'll sell the extra head(s) and split the money. I'll drop it off at one of ya'll houses on the way back to frag up. The new guy isn't going to mess up these frags!!! lol
