Get the Word Out Contest Entry - Craigslist Shock and Awe!

Post by matt_longview on Wed 14 Mar 2012, 5:25 pm

My get the word out contest will bombard craigslist.com with posts for free coral and lead them to the forum to register and post in this thread to claim their prize.

The prizes (that are absolutely free for new members who found my post on Craigslist and followed the steps listed) can be chosen from the following (1 of each available).

If you are a new member who found us through this craigslist add, simply register and post which item you would like to receive! Hurry though because as mentioned, only 1 of each is available! Pickup will be in Longview.

***CLAIMED*** Red Monti Cap Frag - JamesB
***CLAIMED*** Green Acro Frag - ReefingWhatISow & Jimdager
Superman Mushroom Frag
***CLAIMED & PICKED UP*** 8 lbs of dry "Live Rock" - Digger
***CLAIMED & PICKED-UP*** 8 lbs of Texas Holey Rock - Cichlid Lover

Cichlid Lover donated some Freshwater prizes as well. Pickup in Kilgore.
ADDED One Breeding Pair of Orange Zebras
ADDED One Single Jewel Cichlid

Shhh donated two large Texas Holey Rock pieces. Dropped them off to me, pickup in Longview.
***CLAIMED*** Large Texas Holey Rock #1 - Brandon1986
Large Texas Holey Rock #2

Here's a link to the craigslist post!

Hi everyone!

I saw the post on Craiglist and just registered!

If the dry live rock is available, I would like it.

I will also post an appropriate introduction in the correct forum.

Perhaps some of our freshwater members can join in and add to the prizes?

I'll do this for the freshwater folks... I'll add 8 lbs of Texas Holey Rock to the prizes. I have some of that and I know it's quite popular in freshwater systems. Cichlid Lover would be first in line.

Hey all just saw the Craidslist post and joined. I live outside of Bossier and would understand if I don't qualify for the free gear but happy to be here anyways and find people close enough that enjoy this hobby as much as I. But if I do qualify the red monto would be my choice heh.

Anyways good to be here.

I didn't put any stipulation on distance. As long as you're willing to pick up in Longview it's all good! :-)

I've got you down for a red monti frag.

Hey I'm newly registered and pretty inexperienced. I would like the green acro frag but I'm curious; is it easy to care for? Also, what kind of lighting does it need? Thanks for the help, I'm still learning.

It's an SPS piece. Best in tanks 6 months or older with low phosphates and in high light... Metal Halide, LEDs or T5 (4 plus bulb fixture). If you need an easier piece I'd suggest the superman mushroom.

Check the general reef section at the top for the "New to Saltwater" thread. Tons of good articles that really helped me when I was getting started.
