LiveAquaria order

Post by grawlfang on Mon 20 Feb 2012, 3:42 pm

I am planning on placing a rather large order with liveaquaria and thought maybe others would like to get in on it so we can get better pricing? order will be placed between march 1st and 15th.

Snails:
Nerite 12+

Fish:
Black Axil Chromis 2-3 each
Whip Fin Fairy wrasse
Yellow Tang

my order at this time is 97.00 I may add if needed when complete order is ready. I had to curtail my ambitions as I hit 217 by myself and realized I needed to spread out my purchases and get my wife's tank setup up first.

I'm curious what the shipping split will cost. I'm likely in for an sps frag or two.

opinions on these fish:
Six line wrasse? says temp needs to be between 72-78? I run 80 could that have caused my other one to die?
Fairy wrasse?

I haven't seen a Blue Reef Chromis for sale on LA for a long time. I'm supposed to get an email notification when they do.

Six line is a cool fish but can be aggressive. I had to remove one from my 75 for beating up my Royal Gramma and Mandarin. Temp of 80 is fine for the fish. LA lists most of their marine fish at 72-78. My tank always ran 80-82 and I kept a sixline for a couple years.

I have no experience with fairy wrasses but I'd like to try one. I do know that they will jump even out of the smallest opening so the tank top has to be fully enclosed.

I'm not sure you could do a sixline and a fairy in the same 75 gallon tank. The sixline may be too aggressive towards the fairy. As long as you can get one or the other out then it may be worth a shot.

YMMV You never know until you try.

Cancel the margaritas. They do better in cooler temps. Wink

I'm interested in getting a couple of fish if they get them in stock by the time the order is made.

looking good for the first so far, but will have to watch finances that's why I said between the 1st and the 15th that would cover 2 paychecks for me.

Give me about a two day notice. Then I'll know exactly what I'm going after. No idea on amount yet. :-)

EDIT: On man... they've got their Undata on sale! Yuma if their sale changes before the first maybe we should order! The Undata is $20 off... and that's half the shipping right there. I sent them a message and asked when their sale on the undata ended.

Any update on a time frame. We're three days away from the first, just figured we would try to let people know several days in advance so they would have a chance to get on the forums. I did hear back from live aquaria... they won't tell you a date that an item goes off of it's sale price. :-(

If it's available at $30 sweet... if it's $50 I'm passing on it! Lol.
