Looking for a Skimmer

Post by reileywatts on Sun 19 Feb 2012, 9:37 am

I'm in need of a protein skimmer for my 90gal. Would like one to fit in my sump. Anyone have one they're looking to sell let me know. Thanks

Check eBay and craigslist. I see some great deals sometimes.

I've been looking on eBay. I just don't know enough about brands, etc to know if something is a good deal. I can definitely tell by the price though!

I've got several, but they are more for commercial or "Fish Room" applications. Talk to Sean, he has several that would be perfect.

Personally I use ASM on all my tanks. They are older which make them a little less expensive. But their design works great. If your don't mind the extra $ I would get a cone design.

Any thoughts on the Seaclone skimmers? I've seen them at Petco and Petland.

DON'T!!!! If you don't believe me google it. I have one, it's useless. Well, not useless but it will be useless on your 90.

How much are you looking to spend on a skimmer?

I'd like to stay under $150.00. I've been looking on eBay.

If you can't find a good used one I'd save up just a bit more money and get a brand new, nice one like the Octopus skimmers. Don't waste your money on the seaclone.
