Maybe take that piece out? and clean it, or leave it out. It was not a piece of live rock, thats why it was on the bottom. There is traces of it on other rocks, but it does not hardly grow on those. I plucked what I could out when I did a water change.

If it wouldn't be difficult it wouldn't hurt to remove just that one. Also... you might have low flow in that area so your ditritus is settling there. Possibly a tiny nano powerhead sending some flow that direction.

I have a powerhead in that direction. There should be plenty of flow. Maybe if my slug dont eat it I will remove that rock. I believe its one of my larger base rocks. Crying or Very sad

That thing is so ugly its cute! I think he will take care of it for you but its still a band aid, you need to find out whats feeding the Bryopsis. What did your Wife think of the Sea Hare?

Mrs Y would love to have one in her tank, but it's the problem of keeping it fit and healthy in her small system.

Maybe we should all put some money into a pot when the next meeting happens, and buy a ETAK Hare that can carouse the tanks as and when needed!

I tried that with mine and had no takers. It ate all the algae and disappeared. I thought sure someone would take it but I had no replies and deleted the post when I couldn't find it anymore.

I can tell you the sea hare likes red slime algae. I always get just a tiny bit where I dont have good flow, and he just finished that. He still hasn't finished the Bryopsis. If he doesnt, I have some salt waiting for him. LOL

I am going to wait until it gets a little warmer so fish will travel better I hope.

This sea hare would probably take care of most. He still hasnt taken care of the Bryopsis. He ate a little of it, but not even a 1/4 of it. That was when I first put him in. He hasnt touched any of it since. Sad

Great News everyone. I looked in my tank this morning, and most of it is gone (about 70%)! I was a little nervous at first, but it's going to work. That was a good call, I appreciate the help. Thanks for the HELP! Very Happy

Just wanted to tell everyone that the sea hare is Amazing! The Bryopsis is 90% gone. He will eat and clean up any algae you have in your tank. He blows away any crab or snail. He's a one man cleaning crew! cheers
