ETAK's 'Get the Word Out' Contest

It is time to get the word out on ETAK and we need your help! So we are asking that you come up with a clever way of promoting ETAK in your area, ie - banners, flyers, promotional events, etc..

There are two ways to play:

1) Upload a video to YouTube and post it in a new thread on the contest board.
2) Take photos of your ETAK promotion and post them in a new thread on the contest section.

The Rules:
1) The event must publicly promote Etakc.com
2) Judgment will be made on creativity and public reactions
4) Videos / photos / event should not portray ETAK in a negative way to the general public

To embed the video:
1)

(Found above the text box when you are typing a new post)
2)

3) Then put the ID of your video in between the tags.

To embed the photo:

I've been doing it since the forum started, and I'll keep doing. My reward is seeing members grow in our hobby Wink

I have no way of being able to keep track of all the people I've encouraged to ETAK. Whenever the oppurtunity presents itself... you know what I do!

I'll get some cards made up and hand them out, without entering. Just to show you guys that I'm no competition. I still use etak every day lol. My site/forums will turn into a clownfish breeding forum I guess lol. I have three spawning pairs right now. 55 gallon divided and a 20 long.

Oh breeding clowns! When are you going to post some details? I've read about it, and seen the degree of light control and filtration control required so hearing about your experiences would be interesting

Here are the two entries Tony. It appears from the rules that Jose will setup a poll for the membership to vote. It seems most of our members weren't interested in free livestock and corals?!

I think if we announce a "Get the Word Out" event and ask our members to participate a bit of their time they'll get involved even without a prize bring offered. That was true in my thread without even asking others to donate prizes people were just willing to help.

Maybe we could throw some ideas around for an event to kick off a week or two in advance of our next meeting/frag swap. I think an event that has us all work together will be even more effective.

If others will jump in though, please do!
