T5 to Metal Halide Upgrade

Post by reileywatts on Mon 23 Jan 2012, 5:46 pm

Thanks Tony for the deal on the light. I had to use some good ole SFA Lumberjack engineering to get metal halide mounted. My wife was opposed to me hanging it from the ceiling(that's putting it nicely). Having a corner tank has its challenges. I still havevto paint the rod that the light is mounted on. The difference in the lights is night and day. The coral has opened up so much more. I'm ready for some SPS!!!

I'll post some pics tonight.

That really does make it bright, I can see why you will have fun with the SPS, and still have room for plenty of fish!

Sweet tank man. I think your gonna notice a huge difference in your growth and overall appearance in your corals. Glad you liked the new light. And your right, time for ome SPS.
